🎁 Christmas gift exchange 2024 ❄️☃️
Join the “Christmas Gift Exchange”, an annual event organized by the VGU Library with the aim of helping students and staff to have a wonderful Christmas and spread the spirit of giving. 😉
To participate, please prepare a gift valued between 50,000 VND and 150,000 VND and drop them off at the INFO DESK counter before 18th December, 2024.
The gift exchange event will take place from 12:30-1:30pm on 18th December 2024 at the Library’s Ground Floor.

📅 Advent Calendar Game
The Advent Calendar game is a popular tradition for counting down to Christmas with a twist of surprises and engaging activities. A game-focused Advent Calendar provides a new activity or challenge each day leading up to Christmas. It can include small gifts like chocolate, or trivia questions, puzzles, challenges, interactive games, and personalized tasks designed to entertain and engage. Such activities are excellent for fostering teamwork and holiday cheer while building excitement for Christmas

👕Cloth Swap👖
Reimagine your wardrobe while making a difference. Exchange your gently used clothing for unique pieces, reduce waste, and embrace a sustainable approach to fashion. Style doesn’t have to cost the earth
How to participate
- Date: December 18th – 20th, 2024
- 10 am – 1 pm: Bring up to five pieces of clothing
- 1 pm – 5 pm: Choose up to five pieces of clothing for free
- Venue: VGU Library, Ground Floor
Swappable Clothing
- No underwear or socks allowed
- Clothing must be intact without holes, rips, or tears
- Clothing must be clean, free from sweat or stains.
- It’s recommended to wash the clothing before donating.
Such a simple activity helps to reduce the carbon footprint and promotes the responsible consumption/ production of textile products as part of the SDG goal No. 12 of the United Nations. Furthermore, it’s less expensive and far more sustainable than buying new clothing and throwing underused clothing away. Our environment also profits from the textile circulating longer and thereby going against the harmful trend of “Fast Fashion”.
You also get the chance to learn interesting facts about the sustainable way of clothing consumption or simply enjoy a nice chat with other visitors alike.

With extended duration from 9:0 AM to 4:00 PM on December 18 – 20, 2024, now you’ll have even more time to explore, swap, and find new reads!
How does it work? Bring a book, take a book! It’s that simple – a 1-for-1 exchange.
Benefits of reusing the used books
- By donating or exchanging your used books, others can read new books without the need to buy them.
