On the occasion of the Vietnamese-German University (VGU) Campus Inauguration, the German support organizations, World University Service Germany (WUS), the Hessen Ministry of Higher Education, Research and the Arts (HMWK) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), decided to grant a funding to the 14 study programs at VGU with a total amount of up to 141,000 euros for the access to additional textbooks (including language and science textbooks) and online reference databases to advance teaching and learning of the 14 programs. To aid VGU’s journey in providing students up-to-date resources in their research, a 3-year subscription to the Proquest Ebook database and a 5-year subscription to the Gale Research Complete database were granted to the university by the support organizations mentioned.
The Ceremony took place on November 10, 2022 with the participation of the Minister of Science and Arts of the State of Hessen, Ms. Angela Dorn, the representatives of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, and Dr. Ralf Gebel, Head of the Department for Cooperation with Europe in Education and Research and German Sponsoring Organizations. This was before the Inauguration Ceremony on the day after which strengthened the bond between VGU and the German partner universities and organizations in particular and between Vietnam and Germany in general. This sponsorship is of great value in enriching the resources for learning, teaching and researching, at the same time in assigning the goal for VGU Library to better serve the learning communities, and to promote sharing of knowledge and academic values in the global community.
Let’s count the days for resource discovery!
