
On October 24, 2025, the Vietnamese-German University (VGU) successfully hosted the parallel session “A University Campus as a Green Living Lab” as part of the international conference Fostering Green Science and Innovation, celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany.
The session brought together leading experts, academics, and practitioners from Vietnam and abroad to share innovative ideas on sustainability in university campuses and beyond.











🎓 Programme Highlights
Speakers at the session represented prestigious institutions and organizations including Vietnamese-German University (VGU), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), RMIT University Vietnam, Hanns Seidel Foundation Vietnam, ASSIST Vietnam (Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation), and UPGREEN Vietnam.
They explored diverse themes such as co-creation for sustainability, sustainable campus design, innovation and entrepreneurship for climate action, small-scale sustainability initiatives, universities as change agents, and green lifestyle movements.
💬 The session concluded with an open Q&A, where participants discussed practical approaches to integrating sustainability into campus life, research, and community engagement.
